   This book is a brief and quickly readable roadmap for your journey to medical school and beyond. It is written primarily for the high school senior, the freshman in college, or the more advanced premedical student who is desperately in need of some guidance that can be read in a few sittings. The reason that I believe this book is necessary is because when I was a medical student getting accurate information about how to get into medical school was difficult and obtaining accurate information about what medical school is actually like, much less residency and life as an attending physician, was impossible! You see, none of the people who are truly knowledgeable about medical education or the practice of medicine are to be found on undergraduate college campuses--they are in medical schools and hospitals, both of which are largely inaccessible to the majority of premedical students!
