A personal story of events during my military service in the Air Force during World War II. A bombing mission, an engine malfunction, a need to bail out over enemy territory and thereafter the story begins. Evasion, Repatriation and return to the United States. An attempt to convey a story about the Slolvaks and their unselfish assistance during my uninvited stay in their country.
