Carrie, Never Free

Carrie is the oldest of the Wells family children. She is thrust into caring for her brothers sisters. She steals food to feed them and protects them from their abusive mother. She takes a chance and steals from a store store she hadn't been to before and is caught. This is the beginning of the Social and Rehabilitation Services investigation, and the beginning of a new life. Carrie is separated from her brothers and sisters and placed in foster care. She never feels free from being moved around and losing those close to her. When she finally feels secure living with Pearla, she falls into a depression and becomes suicidal. Carrie had faced many demons in her childhood and they caught up to her. Even once she is better she still has one more demon to face after graduating from high school. Will Carrie ever be free?
