Cry Freedom
Description
Genocide has come to America. America's foreign wars are over, but war at home rages on for California Governor Michael Keller. When a dangerous drug cartel pushes back against Governor Keller's social reform program, he turns to former Special Forces operator Arlester Logan for help. Logan strikes at the heart of the cartel and quickly finds himself on a familiar battlefield where anyone can be the enemy. The fog of war is thicker at home than abroad, and what began as a program of hope for California ends with the systematic murder of thirty thousand Hispanics in the Mojave Desert. Now, Logan and Governor Keller stand trial for crimes against humanity. With blood on their own soil, Americans can no longer dismiss these atrocities as ghost stories from distant lands. Somewhere in the sinister haze of money, bureaucracy, racism, and poverty lies the dark side of human nature and the truth of California's secret war.
