Sullivan's Travels (The Sullivan Trilogy)

Never a risk-taker, our protagonist Sullivan, sought to escape the agony of mindless bureaucracy. Encouraged by the fictional writings of Spider Robinson (who figured the Universal Postal Union was truly universal), Sullivan (never call him Sully) posts a notice on Facebook that he is willing to be abducted by aliens. His one transferrable skill is music. A very ordinary looking alien accepts his offer, whisking him away to a Politically Correct planet (hinting at what the Earth could be like in a few more years). Sullivan’s Travels offers a satirical, psychological and humorous look at political correctness taken to extremes. A vegan planet, without pets or zoos, or money. Elections optional (like school boards). The novel comes in three parts – thesis, antithesis, and synthesis – followed by a brief prolog (making a sequel possible). And like Ginsu Knives, there’s more! Sullivan’s Travels is book one in a trilogy. The second in the series, SULLIVAN'S LAW opens with an incompetent, avian alien reaching all the wrong conclusions about Earth culture, involving crossword puzzles and Sudoku. But that is another story.
