In Queensland, Australia a highly respected country teacher, Isaac Jovelsein, and his two children are on their way to a city life in Brisbane. The reason for their long trip southwards is that Isaac was unable to bear the reminders, in his hometown of Rosedale, of the death of his wife... But before the city there comes to them a man with something to hide, and they know it. They need his help and before long, the entire Jovelsein family is unable to escape him...
