"ISLANDS OF JEFFERSON SPRINGS" tells the story of three brothers whose present lives are haunted by past events, events which have shaped their characters and propelled them into very different directions. When one of them is convicted of murder and escapes from prison, the other two brothers, one the sheriff of the small town they grew up in and the other the town drunk, know where it is that he will run to. This knowledge brings with it memories they thought were buried forever as well as decisions they hoped would never have to be made. The actions taken lead to conflict, tragedy and finally redemption. "ISLANDS OF JEFFERSON SPRINGS" is a novel about the power of memory and the complexities of love and how the past can never be separated from the present no matter how much we may want it to be.
