In the jolted, dazed aftermath of JFK's assassination, the Warren Report is published. Its official conclusion: New Orleans' own Lee Harvey Oswald was the sole assassin. Could it be that one pathetic "lone nut" shattered the American dream? It had to be a conspiracy, hadn't it? One investigator in New Orleans looks into it and becomes obsessed. He is convinced that a vast network killed the president, setting Oswald up as their patsy, and he will stop at nothing to prove it - even if it means setting up his own.
