Development of a sustainability indicator for renewable energy systems
Description
Renewable energy technologies for electricity generation are almost certainly required, in order to meet the increasing demand for energy and to achieve environmental sustainability. Hybrid renewable energy systems, which generate electricity from more than one renewable energy source, are becoming popular due to their advances in emissions mitigation and economic benefits. The sustainability assessment of a hybrid renewable energy system is complex, as is the system itself. The purpose of this book is to develop an indicator to assess the sustainability of hybrid renewable energy systems.
