It begins when he reported to Air Force Undergraduate Pilot training and covers his four and a half years on active duty. Come along and fly with Mike as he strives to earn his wings as a Rated Jet Pilot in Pilot Training and then as he flew the C-141 around the world for two years. Mike was reassigned to Vietnam flying combat missions in the AC-47 "Spooky" Gunship and the EC-47 Electronic Countermeasures aircraft. His missions in Vietnam are described in great detail. This book ends with Mike's separation from the Air Force and his re-entry into the civilian world and the Airline job market.
