The author in plain and compelling language takes us through his tensions about the place of faith and science in his life as a young Christian, about his struggle to make sense of creation and evolution as two pillars of truth, his conflict over where to reside and work, in the first or third world, and the push and pulls he encountered in deciding to give up his career in academia for the more uncertain but challenging work in the public and business spheres.
