Rock 'n' Roll Demons: The Story of the Sublimated Urge

Al Capone Andrews is a fifty-something ex-rock 'n' roller with a story to tell. He tells of a group of university students who come together one wet day to form a rock band which becomes known as 'The Sublimated Urge'. On their very first gig outside university the boys become embroiled in a a fierce brawl with some local thugs, landing Al in hospital. The boys have their instruments trashed and are forced to find work on a local farm to save enough money to purchase new gear.They devise a dangerous but effective means of exacting revenge on the thugs who beat them up and destroyed their instruments. The band eventually becomes famous, but the road to fame is littered with wrong turns. The boys become embroiled in a litany of sins on the way to stardom, including alcohol and drug abuse, charges of carnal knowledge, unwanted pregnancies, brawls, confidence tricks and finally murder. Al is one of the lucky band members who survives to tell their story.
