Tad's Long Jump (California Toad Patrol)

Tad, Adventures of a Heroic California Toad is a children’s story of the garden variety which is based on real toads that lived in the retired Professor’s California Garden . The Urban Toads that were once common in Davis are now almost extinct through loss of habitat. Book one of the series, Tad’s Long Jump, is beautifully illustrated by Sara Adler and takes Tad to the famous Calaveras jumping frog contest made famous by Mark Twain. In this book Tad shows kindness and empathy by giving up a winning jump to save another contestants life.
