Nocturnal Illusion III: At Dream's End

Ice Kashiwagi is a dying man. Through an attempt to save his life, his granddaughter has become lost in the Japanese wilderness and is probably dead as he, himself, should be. The only thought keeping his broken body and mind moving is that she may yet be alive somewhere, lost and needing help. What he finds in his desperate search for her, though, is a nightmare that far surpasses anything he could have ever imagined. Ice must conquer his broken body, his tortured spirit, and his battered mind or else he will end up sacrificing so much more than just himself.
