Living in the Real World (Black and White Version): A Math Simulation Game

This unique book takes the students through a real world simulation including planning a budget, purchasing a home and car, balancing a check book and paying taxes all through their own character. Students choose a character based on real world statistics and proceed to plan a budget, find living quarters, buy a car and plan for retirement based on the data from their biography. Other activities include understanding your paycheck, the W-2 form and filling out a 1040 EZ tax form. This book, which correlates to the common core math standards, teaches economics in a fun, creative way.
