Inventor Benjamin Wilkes has just buried his wife and, despite everything he knows to do, finds himself pulling away from his daughter, Hope. As he loses Hope, Ben gets lost in a strange toy design, which opens the doorway to the Dream City, where man's corruption might offer his damnation. While consciousness offers a mysterious European beauty who will do anything to get her hands on the device, his nighttime journeys offer no less safety. Now, as he tries to elude the City's protectors, Ben must struggle to reconnect with his child before it is too late.
