The Gatekeeper

Thirteen year-old Aaron hasn't had the easiest life. After losing his parents at age 3, he is sent to live with his carefree, globe-trotting aunt and uncle, who don't have much time for him. When they are killed in a car crash, Aaron is left to care for his twin cousins the best he can; his only escape from this very adult responsibility is reading fantasy novels, and wishing himself away to fictional realms. Until one day, it becomes more than a fantasy, and the responsibility of caring for his young cousins becomes the simplest of his obligations...
