The White Ibis

This novel is set in the Crystal River section of Florida along the Gulf Coast just north of the Tampa St Pete area. The novel concerns itself with seven women who are all affiliated in one way or another with a strange, mysterious woman named Marie. The story opens as a group of women gather at Marie's home. There, they get to know each other and the history of the place. The novel reaches all the way back to the 1905 October hurricane to retrieve some of the ghosts that haunt the area and the women as they seek to find each other and meaning in their lives.
