A young professional couple living in New York City has their careers intertwined in a high stakes game of life and death. Shelby Archer is an accomplished Microbiologist at Progente Corporation, a small biopharmaceutical company dependent on the success of her protein delivery system. Her fiancé, Mark Roberts, is a rising star at a prominent Manhattan environmental law firm. The case he has been assigned begins to unravel as his clients rescind their claims against Tannex Corporation, a pigment and dye manufacturer suspected of poisoning groundwater in New Mexico, three victims have died and sixteen other families have been stricken.
