The Wind Among the Pines

The Wind Among the Pines is a narrative in verse, consisting of sixteen sections. It is a recreation of the myth of Mahabharat, in which the epic hero is Arjuna, who appears as the narrator and the protagonist. He is presented as an “Immortal Soul married to chronic paralysis,” a zone of consciousness and a bundle of complex psychic impressions. The relevance of myth to the modern times is suggested by depicting the nullity of all hopes. Like Vladimir and Estragon, he is waiting for Godot in the forest of pines.
