Death's Penance (Volume 1)

I am Hamavet. I was formerly the god of death, but after my failed rebellion, I was condemned to exist alongside mankind until the end of days. Seething over my defeat, I went to the one place where I hoped I would never be reminded of my failure. Even there I could not avoid my past forever. In the heart of a vicious wilderness, I encountered a child who was chosen by her people to be a holy woman, but now she is being raised by the god who zealously eradicated all but a few of her people.
