The Jefferson Bible: The Life and Morals of Jesus of Nazareth

In 1819, Thomas Jefferson, now well retired from political life, sat down in his office in his home of Monticello, and took a razor and glue to a copy of the King James Bible, removing any references to miracles or divinity.

What remained was a short volume telling the tale of Jesus from his birth to ultimate demise. What remained was the morals and teachings of the one who has become known as Jesus the Christ.
