The Adventures of Skateboard Slug

"Skateboard Slug" is an early chapter book about the fantasy life of a slug and his friends, a monarch butterfly, a vulture, a turtle and a frog who live in Pine Forest and Blue Pond. Near Pine Forest is Grassy Prairie, the home of the evil Blue Bumblebee Drone. Skateboard and his friends have many adventures in Pine Forest including games of Pinecone Baseball and Mud Hopscotch. The hero, Skateboard Slug, attempts to keep his friends safe from the sting of Blue Bumblebee Drone who sometimes flies through the forest looking for a tasty meal. This book includes information about slugs and the life cycle of butterflies.
