Kristin Kakes is a high school sophomore who has the next twenty years scheduled. She is so focused on achievement it is a wonder the confines of time and space haven't warped just to accommodate her wishes. Currently she oversees a tiny high school empire but she can see before her, like a lit path of gold, the expansion of this empire until it blankets the world. She isn't evil. She doesn't crave power. Just accomplishment. Enter Tommy Amsterdam. Tommy walks a different path. He doesn't know where he'll be in twenty minutes let alone twenty years.
