A roar marks the beginning of the journey of a young woman who is thrust into becoming the first Dragon Rider from her planet in centuries. Melody is a normal high school student, nothing unique about her. That is until a Dragon, white as fallen snow, shows up at her school in the small town of Red Bluff, California. The Dragon, Kelegra, takes young Melody on a once in a life time journey to become a Dragon Rider. She is whisked away from Earth and plummets into the faraway land of Florodor. There she is transformed mentally, physically and magically to be a fighter. Transformed by long hours of study and training, she will in time emerge into an epic entanglement between an ancient rivalry. The question is whether or not she will be able to live with what is in her mind. Despite her struggle, Melody uses her fascination with books to adapt to her new life style at the College. Though she is only beginning her training, both sides of the Great War court her favor. She will have to decide which land she will side with. With her unusual gifts, awakened by the touch of her Dragon, she could be the key to winning this arduous war. No one can predict where Melody's story will end, Melody included.
