The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Description
It is Epiphany, 1482, and deformed hunchback Quasimodo, is the bell-ringer of Notre Dame. A gypsy named Esmeralda has won not just his heart but that of Claude Frollo, Archdeacon of Notre Dame. The Archdeacon wrestles with his lust and his desire to obey the rules of the cathedral. Quasimodo is ordered to kidnap Esmeralda, however, but all does not go according to plan. The hunchback is captured by Phoebus. Esmeralda is saved and Gringoire, who witnesses all this, accidentally trespasses into the home of Paris’s criminal underground. As the story unfolds, Gringoire is to be hanged while Esmeralda desperately tries to save his life.
