Scarecrow to the Aliens: a Magical Hoboe Orphan Tale

A cloak-and-dagger war rages in an unseen Marble world superimposed on our own—H.O.B.O.E. vs. Harpy agents—but it's a charade, kept up by the Scarecrow-to-the-Aliens, to make the earth look dangerous to any would-be trespassers...Scavengers, of unknown origin. The Scarecrow's daughter is in danger (of kidnapping, and being used as a weapon against her own mother), so she's placed in the Home for Magical Hoboe Orphans, for safe-keeping.
