Description
In 1936, when Don leaves Australia to serve as a missionary in Fiji, he does not envisage what the ensuing years hold in store. As he and his young bride struggle to adapt to married life, and life in a strange country, they are also confronted with the impositions of the hierarchy of their church and the decisions that are made for them. These are the formative years of their marriage, that sets the course for later years. At times their love for one another is sorely tested as they are forced to make difficult choices. The author undertakes an emotional journey in researching this story about her parents‘ years in Fiji, uncovering previously unknown facts about the momentous decision that they made just prior to her birth.
