Both halves, internal and external, are allowed to express fully in our lives. Balance is maintained and our journey is enjoyable and exciting. Sitting quietly in meditation didn’t always work for me. My hands wanted to be doing something active, which distracted my mind from becoming silent. What I found calmed this restlessness was the activity of coloring and drawing repetitive patterns. While focusing on creating the same swirl repeatedly around a central shape, thoughts became still. I could now detect my visions more clearly. I then learned to concentrate on a positive affirmation or a visualization of my highest self. Before I knew it, I was lost in concentration of a fantastic dream. I discovered that I could step back from my work with a firm grip on the messages from my intuition. Any thoughts of uncertainty or insecurity were quieted. Instead I was confident and in touch with my purpose. Then, forevermore, the artwork became a physical reminder of this grounding exercise. One look at it, in a moment of nervousness, and fears disappeared. That’s how this book was born. I’d like you to sit with each page, receptive and aware of that inner voice trying to reach you. Listen with an open mind and open heart. Be available to realizing you’re already whole. The separation was an illusion presenting itself as real, because of an imbalance. There is no right or wrong way to color and draw in this book. There’s also no specific way to visualize or meditate.
