Prince Arnel has grown up in the royal court of his father, King Bartan of Arken, greatest of the Seven Istar Kingdoms of the Civilized world. Along with his brother and sister, he has known nothing but peace throughout his lifetime. When tragedy strikes, Arnel must set out on a journey to discover his own strengths and magical powers. He must complete a quest to find a missing artifact that is the key to protecting Arken and his family. Along the way, he will meet with others also coming into their power and together they may be able to prevent an unspeakable evil from sweeping down on the Istar Kingdoms and destroying all they love.
