Lugo committed terrible atrocities in the name of the corrupted god Oscuro, in order to bring forth a false enlightenment the world was promised upon the god’s return to Mizani. Broken free from his former master’s control and haunted by his crimes, Lugo fled Mizani and found solace in his wife Rebecca on Earth. But Lugo’s demons soon manifest themselves as his old masters come for him, and he – along with Rebecca and their friends – are thrust back into that strange world so that Lugo can finish the old work. But behind Oscuro’s promised enlightenment is something dark and evil, and Lugo, Rebecca, and the others must find a way to stop it. If they fail, not only are their own lives at stake, but also all of Mizani and the reality in which it exists.
