My Magnolia and Me

A tale of a child being free in New Orleans where only love could blossom, only to be yanked out and placed in the rigidity of Arizona where there was anything but love in her life. The South's heritage was where Cara was taught to treasure and honor the Southern ways by her auntie and grandmother. The West was only a dream of her narcissistic father, which left her feeling abandoned and being afraid of everything, including life. When her auntie becomes ill with Alzheimer’s, she returns home to New Orleans to care for the woman who molded her into the woman she is today. In the end, the reader discovers the meaning of life and love in this spiritual saga.
