In the potentially oil-rich southern California town of Mayberry, it is a summer of money and mayhem. It is also the eighteen-year-old Wilson boys' last summer in town. Joey is ready to party and ignore his confusion about what to study in college. His cousin and best friend, Frank, is worried that going away to college will be abandoning his mother, Grace. Both Frank and Grace are still grieving for Frank’s dad, Grant, who died under mysterious circumstances ten years ago. Grandpa Will is trying to help both boys grow up. At a triathlon, they make a new friend, Cody, a triathlete and geocacher. She has insights that lead them first to an abandoned oil well, then on adventures in the city, the wilderness, and cyberspace. What they learn affects the whole town because the money is in bitcoins and the mayhem may include murder.
