At least until his world was upturned. With the arrival of mysterious black cloaked riders from the desert his life is suddenly boiled down into one horrible choice: servitude or death. In an instant, Aaron's world is thrown into chaos as he finds himself entangled in a conflict that wants to engulf his world. As the conflict grows, Aaron finds himself as the improbable centerpiece of a war that threatens to consume all in its path. With battle lines being drawn and dark omens clouding his future, Aaron is thrust into a complicated world of monsters and magic that will lead him to question everything he has ever known.
