In Georgia it is the Georgia Secretary of State's office that accepts licensure applications from contractors. One must have a professional license issued by this office in order to begin new construction works in Georgia. The exam has two parts, the first being the Business and Law test, which is covered by this book. The test covers a wide range of fundamental topics but this study notes will focus on topics related to accounting, finance, purchasing, cost control, human resources and the rules/regulations related to the building and construction profession.
