Williams, Deputy Marshal

Nate Williams, Deputy Marshal, Republic Marshal Service, travels to the planet Fortune to pick up a pair of convicted data thieves for transport to a Republic Correctional Facility. The routine transfer becomes a race as the Cartel - a shadowy criminal enterprise with tentacles stretching throughout the planetary systems of the Republic - will stop at nothing to prevent the data being carried in the bioware of one of the felons from being recovered by the Republic. They find themselves chased by the Cartel, and pursued by elements of the Republic Space Fleet and the Republic Intelligence Service.
