A Beginnings End is the first book in the series, The Diaries of Dark Keep. In a world where your ability to exist is dependent solely on your ability to survive, Thann is uniquely suited. It would be easier, he thinks, if he could be certain his mystic protector was truly on his side and not secretly trying to kill him.
