Description
Here you will find car stories by Al Steinmetz, car salesman extraordinaire. Al bought and sold his first car in 1938 at age 16. In 1947, after serving in the Army Air Corp during WWII, he came home to Eugene, OR. For the next 65 years, he remained in the car business in Eugene, first at his own independent car dealership and later as a member of the Kendall Auto Group family. Al has owned, sold or been associated with a fascinating collection of antique, vintage, strange, unusual and rare cars. Among them are a 1905 Kiblinger, a 1912 Hupmobile, a 1922 Model T Coupe, a Model T Bug of the same year, a 1928 Essex, a 1928 Whippet, a 1937 LaSalle, a 1938 Graham, a 1964 Studebaker, a 1968 Mustang, and a 1978 Ford Ranchero Torino 500 pickup. Also included are the never-built Davis Motorcar and the 1927 Steinmetz, only one of which was ever built.
