The Incantation

THE INCANTATION--secrets too dangerous to know. On a dig outside Cairo, Toni Bliss, gifted Ph.D., uncovers the incantations for life-extension. Chant the ancient magic and someone unhealthy will survive. Coincidentally, someone else, young and strong, will die. The papyrus scrolls make it clear the years of life-time to be transferred must come from somewhere. Unaware severe penalties exist for improper use of the spells, Toni translates the hieroglyphs and utters the magic. She soon realizes why many Egyptian temples depict men bearing the heads of jackals, falcons, and other beasts. These images are warnings--do not meddle in things not fully understood.
