Out of the depths of the Great Depression rose a people that were not happy with the constraints of the normal American Dream and instead choose the path less taken. This path was not for the light hearted or the timid. Filled with dangers and uncertainties, these folks eke out a living traveling from state to state following the fruit harvest. Yet they have a freedom most Americans never get to experience. A life with only one rule Survival and everything else is cake. Almost totally off the grid Fruit Tramps live a life on the fringe of our modern society and have for almost eight generations. For those who are not following this train of thought, Fruit Tramps are known by a more political correct name Migrant Workers. Yet this term conjures pictures of people of color working in the fields and that is not what these books are about. These books are about the lifestyle, trials and troubles of those who have chosen to live on the edges of American society. I truly hope you find my version of these pulp fictions entertaining.
