Beautiful and talented, Urvashi wished to be a famous actress at all costs. She used her body, and men as stepping stones on her way to the top. So what went wrong, right when she had achieved phenomenal success? Born into an ultra conservative middle class Indian family, Kumar had not heard the word “Gay”—till doctors applied it-- to him. It was the start of a nightmare, as a bewildered Kumar tried to make sense of himself, even as he was given up for dead by his parents, expelled from the elite engineering college he studied in, shocked when his partner committed suicide and he himself became homeless and forced to live on the footpaths. How did he rise to become a successful lyricist? How did the lives of Urvashi and Kumar become interdependent on each other? Like the two faces of the same coin?
