Based on an original work first produced by Fr. Ron Shibley in the early 1980s, Fr. Ron’s Kitchen Companion provides anyone with ways to save money on cooking and recipies for producing delicious, restaurant-quality meals at home on a budget. The book has been enhanced with recipe variations for low-fat diets. Includes Eight Tips for Better Cooking; a glossary on Herbs, Spices and Other Specialty Ingredients, and a Guide to Sources, offering web adddresses and phone numbers for difficult to find ingredients; and a Recipe Index. There are 140+ recipes, many with several variations, many from Shibley family traditions and Fr. Ron and Corkie’s trips to Hawaii and other places, plus color illustrations and eleven “tips” boxes intended to help readers purchase the right product for the recipes.
