Over the Cliff: The Warning Sign

Jeffrey Poe is an active karateka who works with the U.S. Embassy in his home country. Prior to landing the job, he has faced some problems concerning his health condition and was eventually turned down. He moved heaven and earth to pursue his dreamed profession despite several obstacles coming his way. With the help of constant prayers, and possibly, God's intervention, he finally made it to the post. He has at last come into his own as a valued Investigator of the Anti-Fraud Unit. Despite being branded a turncoat to his fellow countrymen, he chose to stay honest and loyal to the embassy he served. His persistence and dedication to his mission gave way to reach his dream, devoting himself to his profession, always prepared to accept dangerous assignments in the field investigating questionable immigrant and visa cases, infiltrating alien-smuggling syndicate and travelling long distances of hundreds of miles, over rough terrain, and into areas that are either controlled or infiltrated by elements of the insurgency. Always loyal to the embassy, Poe has gone through with his entire dangerous investigative journey but finally finds him caught in the most tragic case of his own life. The tragedy loomed from the highland when he and a co-investigator are driving back home from the previous mission. A black cat over the cliff runs across their car and momentarily stands in the way--staring at them, then slowly walks away to the other side. "It's a bad omen." Some natives and those accustomed to the experience have always maintained that the situation is ominous." There's a danger ahead of them, and the cat is signaling them to put paid to their journey back home. Whether by accident or design, his co-investigators in the office benefit the chances of destroying him. They're making him chicken coming home to roost. He was investigated for an error beyond his control and was eventually dumped for good. He fought it out by all means, even trying to seek aid from his own government, only to find out that his government does not have anything to do with his case.
