The supreme law of the United States of America: this is the Constitution of the United States, originally conceived with seven Articles, on September 17, 1787, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and in effect since March 4, 1789. The Constitution was amended twenty-seven times. The first ten amendments, dated from 1789, are known as the Bill of Rights, and beside the other seventeen, are included in this edition.
