Steps in Time

Nigel Stone, a semi-retired physicist had gone through a distinguished career as many such men in his field had done. But along the way he made a discovery so astounding that he at first kept it to himself, but then he recruited a small group to travel as he did, through time. In the end though he decided his discoveries were too risky to share with the world. Technology, he feared, would pervert his discovery. So, along with Jack Collins, whom he also recruited, he now travels to his choice of times in history. From epic events that affected millions to simple moments in history, Nigel and Jack, sometimes together and other times alone, travel in time. Their method of travel is simple, the people and relationships they discover are not. From the Tong Wars in San Francisco’s China Town, and the young girl they try to save from a life of slavery in a sex den, to the possibilities of losing World War II, Jack and Nigel not only take part in these events but contemplate the results of altering them as well. The times they choose to visit are limitless as are the individuals, both famous and unknown, with whom they interact. Through it all they know that they alone hold the power to change any of these events, alter forever the lives of those involved, and the timeline as it unfolds.
