Description

Ellie has just started her first term at Bludenberg Academy. Ellie is a Chardhru. A Chardhru is a witch who has had their blood ‘changed’ by the goddess to enable them to act as feeders to vampires. This was done to stop the vampires’ going into the human world to feed, preventing the humans from getting harmed and to stop more vampires from being created. Ellie and her twin brother Danny attend Bludenberg Academy as it is guarded by wardens… who are vampires. Last term Ellie was elevated to the position of High Priestess by the goddess herself. Unfortunately this makes her the most targeted Chardhru around. The Khamatari, a group of rogue vampires have been searching for the High Priestess and have been attacking all the colleges and academies looking for her, as they have found out through a prophecy that it is the High Priestess that will bring the Khamatari to an end. The good thing about becoming the High Priestess is that Ellie now has six personal bodyguards, all vampires, one of which is the Prince Regent Adathulam. Little known to Ellie, Adathulam has had his sights on Ellie for over a year and was overjoyed when he got to be her bodyguard. Within a few weeks of being with her he asks her to marry him to which she says yes, although there are many problems along the way, one being that he still has a girlfriend! Whilst discovering what she has to do as High Priestess, Ellie stumbles across a prophecy which informs her that in order for her to rid the world of the Khamatari, she must become a sacrifice… she will have to die.
