Robots Like Blue

When asked, “Robot, are you self aware? ...Do you think that we are self aware?” Robot spent several milliseconds considering the question and then said, “Does it matter?” Using evolutionary techniques, Brian Webster has developed the most receptive, adaptive and naturally responsive software available today.” This is the software that he uses in his robots' new groundbreaking quantum core processor brains. He also installs “The Governor,” overseeing software that adds a layer of safety rules, but effectively denies the robots free will. Robot, Robbie, is just one of one hundred new robots. Running on quantum core processors and new Gen5 software, these robots are truly unique. His only desire is to serve Lucy Walker. Hoping to develop Gen6, Brian collects "performance data" from his robots and inadvertently opens up a channel where the robots can communicate and share their experiences.
