Life of Joy

Life Of Joy is an autobiographical telling of Shirley Smith’s life stories. Included are influences from her family of origin and from people throughout her life as she traveled and lived around the world. Shirley’s experiences include her early childhood growing up in south Georgia, being a newlywed in Tripoli, Libya, and serving as a career missionary in Hong Kong and mainland China. In addition to Life Of Joy, Shirley and has had several writings included in the Greensboro Writers' Guild annual Christmas Book, and she is the illustrator for Songs In a Strange Land. Shirley Gibbs Smith, R.N., B.S.N., is currently retired and living in Charlotte, North Carolina with her husband of 60 years, Dr. Lewis R. Smith. For over 35 years, the Smiths served as Southern Baptist Medical Missionaries in Hong Kong. They are the parents of four children and four grandchildren.
