The man in the Grand Marquis is enraged when he sideswipes his car into Lissa Tea's on the snow-covered forest road. Lissa is shocked that the vehicle matches the description of a robbery get-away car - but that has nothing to do with her. At first. Now, with her car jammed into a snowbank, Lissa braves a wrenching hike through the blizzard to her desolate Adirondack cabin. Safely inside for the night, the last thing she expects to hear is window glass shattering. The last thing she expects to see is an intruder in her kitchen. The same man? A different man? A man who may have done far worse than rob a country gas station.... The blizzard howls as snow pelts the cabin, and Lissa, held hostage by the storm, has nowhere to run.
