After Cassinea’s uncle fought the dragon Malefigore, he raised her as his own, teaching her to fish, hunt, and fight. Cassinea has heard the archaic stories many times—stories, she believes, of times gone by.
When something dire stirs in the untamed north, Cassinea finds herself the prey of a powerful, unpredictable demon. Why she should warrant such attention is a mystery, and not one Cassinea has much time to ponder. Accompanied by Telnor, a massive ax-wielding woodsmen, the young woman rushes to the only person who may be capable of saving her—a mysterious hermit named Malicos.
Joined by an affable bandit and a high-strung gnome, Cassinea and Telnor find themselves caught in a struggle for the future of the kingdom of Quil’hara. If they fail, the demon’s master will gain dominion over the land. To succeed, however, the evil force needs Cassinea. And she’s not feeling particularly cooperative.
A dashing entry into the epic fantasy genre, From Shadows Depths is reminiscent of R. A. Salvatore and Terry Goodkind’s best work.
Join Cassinea as she attempts to answer that most difficult of questions: “Who am I?â€
